Omar Khayyam عمر خیّام

How Will Long You Be In Infinite Pursuit

I Sent My Soul Through the Invisible

Rise and Forget the Sorrow

This Caravan Called Life

Today Is Yours to Spend

How to Live in the Moment

Ancient Wisdom from Omar Khayyam

"Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life." ~ Omar Khayyam عمر خیّام

How Long Will You Be In Infinite Pursuit

How long will you be in infinite Pursuit
Of all the world's endeavors and disputes?
Better to be happy with this fruitful Grape
Than to be sad for none, or worse, bitter Fruit.

I Sent My Soul Through the Invisible

I sent my Soul through the Invisible,
Some letter of that After-life to spell:
And after many days my Soul returned
And said, "Behold, I am both Heaven and Hell."

Rise and Forget the Sorrow

برخیز و مخور غم جهان گذران

بنشین و دمی به شادمانی گذران

در طبع جهان اگر وفایی بودی

نوبت بتو خود نیامدی از دگران

عمر خیام

Rise and forget the sorrow of this fleeting world.

Sit and enjoy a moment of happiness unfurled.

If there was any loyalty left in this world,

Time wouldn't leave others to make you preferred.

---

This Caravan Called Life

این قافلهٔ عمر عجب می‌گذرد

دریاب دمی که با طرب می‌گذرد

ساقی غم فردای حریفان چه خوری

پیش آر پیاله را که شب می‌گذرد

عمر خیام

This caravan of life passes by so quickly.

So, find the good times, and hold them dearly.

O cup-bearer, why worry about what comes tomorrow?

Just bring my cup for this night will soon be history.

Today Is Yours to Spend

Today is yours to spend, but not to-morrow,
Counting on tomorrow brings nothing but sorrow;
Don’t waste this breath that heaven has given you,

Nor be confident you have another breath to borrow.
